QUESTIONS-ANSWERS
Question 10. As part of the process described in the ToR, we understand a best and final offer will be requested after approval of the pre-printed proofs. How will this relate to our original price offer? Will this take into account price fluctuations?
You should include expected price fluctuations of paper in your initial offer.
However, the final price may change in cases where the volume of pages has been reduced due to the layout optimization of the illustrations and text for example. The aim of the proposal is to re-design the layout in order to optimize the textbook and the illustrations, eventually reducing the number of pages. For example, some illustrations may be too large, taking up a lot of space in a page. The size of these illustrations could be reduced allowing more space for text in the same page.
Question 11. In the RFP, at page 9, is written that the bidder has experience having published or co-published and printed school textbooks in French and Arabic for Africa.
Is experience with Arabic language for other countries other than Africa relevant?
Yes
Is experience in other alphabets other than latinic, relevant?
It will be considered but not much relevant.
Is experience in Urdu (Arabic alphabet, but different language) relevant?
It will be considered but not much relevant
One area that will be accessed is experience and capacity to develop this type of work in French and Arabic.
