Activation
Process by which UNGM users are required to activate their account by verifying access to the email address provided at the account creation stage. Activation requires a valid email address.

Certificate of Incorporation Legal document which relates to the creation/formation of a company or business entity. Declined profileRegistration status that indicates that the registration has been declined based on the information provided in the registration.
In the majority of cases, registration is declined when the supplier's products and/or services do not match those procured by the UN organizations. Disability-inclusive suppliers Suppliers which make a dedicated, consistent, and measurable effort to implement disability-inclusive practices.
Suppliers can show that they are disability-inclusive through a variety of means such as:
- having an organizational policy on disability inclusion
- recruiting and hiring people with disabilities
- offering reasonable accommodation to candidates and personnel with disabilities
- providing accessible premises
- ensuring that their supply chains are disability-inclusive

Electronic tendering submissionResponse from a supplier to a solicitation submitted electronically, via e-procurement system. Email address Username Identification used by a UNGM user to access the UNGM account. The username corresponds to the email address users registered with on UNGM. It must be a valid email address. Enterprise Resource Planning ERP System which UN organizations use to manage their day-to-day business activities such as procurement and finance operations. Express interest (button) Action to electronically express interest in participating in a solicitation in UNGM. Once the express interest has been successful, the 'Express interest' button will change to 'View documents' which provides access to the UN organization's e-procurement system where bid/proposal may be submitted electronically. Expression of interest EOI Response to a Request for Expression of Interest expressing interest in participating in a solicitation. F
Financial statements Financial documents Documents which report financial information and financial activitities of a specific company. Registration at level 2 requires suppliers to upload audited company's financial documents for the last three years.
These should include the following:
- Signed audit report
- Balance sheet
- Profit and loss account (income statement)

Procurement officialIndividual or personnel designated by an authorized official to undertake all activities necessary for the procurement of goods, works, or services in accordance with the applicable regulations, rules, policies, and procedures.

Tender noticeGeneric term that refers to the advertisement of a sourcing and/or solicitation process. Procurement process Steps necessary to acquire goods and services, inter alia, through identification and development of requirements, planning, budgeting, conducting solicitations, obtaining approvals, entering into contract negotiations and carrying out contract fulfilment. Proposal Offer in response to a Request for Proposal. Publicly-traded Term which refers to a company which is publicly traded. The company has a share structrure that is owned and traded by the general public on the stock market exchange. Purchase order PO Type of contract that documents the purchase of goods and/or services. Q
Quotation Offer in response to a Request for Quotation. However, if it is in response to an enquiry, it is simply

Receipt Written acknowledgment from UNGM which confirms reception of payment from the subscriber for the Tender Alert Service subscription. Registration on UNGM refers to the registration at Basic level which is the common registration level for potential suppliers.
Registration on UNGM allows the supplier's profile to become visible to all UN procurement officers when sourcing for potential suppliers and in most cases to participate in procurement opportunities.Registration at Level 1 Level 1 registration Additional registration level which is required by some UN organizations for participation in specific procurement opportunities.
Registration at Level 1 requires the upload of:

- provision of three references

Request for information RFI Instrument to conduct a market survey to obtain information from the market that can be used to identify available or potential solutions for fulfilling identified needs which may include information on cost and delivery time. Request for pre-qualification Formal method of assessing suppliers of particular goods, services or works against predetermined qualification criteria, and only those suppliers who comply with the criteria are invited to tender. Request for proposal RFP Formal method of solicitation where prospective suppliers are requested to submit a proposal for the provision of goods, works or services, based on specifications, scope of work, or terms of reference included in the solicitation documents.
Normally used in cases where the requirements are complex; cannot be clearly or completely specified, where detailed technical evaluations are to be performed, and/or where pricing or cost may not be the sole basis of award.Request for quotation RFQ Informal method of solicitation whereby suppliers are requested to submit a quotation for the provision of goods or services.
