Kindly find below answer to questions that was raised by some vendors;

Note: (LTA)  means Long Term Arrangement

  1. Question: What is the exact dimensions of your prefab room example dimensions (7m length?X5m hight?X3m width?)  we need to check for the logistic purpose.
  2. : The dimensions of the prefabs, item line# 1 to 5 in annex B_ BoQ price list are as follows
  • 7m length X 5m width X 3m height using (10) cm thickness sandwich panels.
  • 7m length X 4m width X 3m height using (10) cm thickness sandwich panels.
  • 6m length X 4m width X 3m height using (10) cm thickness sandwich panels.
  • 7m length X 4m width X 3m height using (5) cm thickness sandwich panels.
  • 6m length X 4m width X 3m height using (5) cm thickness sandwich panels.
  • Question: Is overseas shipping to Iraq from South Korea is also possible for bidding?
  1. : please note that we are looking for the best interest and value for money for our organization. The used incoterm is DDP.
  1. Question: Is partial bidding is possible?
  2. : Partial bid will not be considered.
  1. Question: What is the details of the iron plan for the ceiling of fixed units?
  2. please find attached the drawing which is existing of details of the iron plan.
  1. Question: What is Details of the land plan for the mobile units
  2. : The details land plan is not available, the land plan is case by case and will be determined later based on UNICEF partner’s request.
  1. Question: Approximately, how many prefabs, latrines, fence, showers and AC units will be needed for this project?
  2. :  Please note the definition and characteristics of LTA as below;
  • An LTA is an arrangement entered into with a supplier* to secure the supply of a product (LTA) over a period of time.
  • Allowing the exact quantities, and/or timing of the organisation’s requirements to be determined later and not at the time of establishing the LTA.
  • LTA is non-binding arrangements which do not constitute a commitment to buy.
  • LTA is set up as non-exclusive arrangements to enable the procuring entity to buy outside the LTA (e.g. if market circumstances change and better offers exist outside the LTA) in order to obtain the best value for money.
  1. Question: Is there any custom fee cost  between north and south Iraq?
  2. : UNICEF is exempted from all taxes inside Iraq.
  1. Question: Requested the delivery locations for each units and tentative date of order confirmation.

Answer:  The locations are within the governorates, for more details refer Annex C.

  1. Question: Requested to conduct a meeting with UNICEF office in Erbil to discuss technical issues.

Answer: A pre bid meeting will be held on 5 Feb 2019 for any technical issues.

  1. Question: Prefab’s drawing was requested.

Answer: please find attached the Drawings for your information.
