New clarification added: Clarification Request 18:It is stated in the tender documents that the project is exempt from customs duty and VAT. As a company that will bid from abroad, will the exemption certificate be issued immediately if the tender remains in our hands? Considering the project duration (4 months), it is understood that the time is quite limited. For this reason, we have hesitations about bidding for the tender from abroad.UNOPS Clarification Response 18:Kindly note that the exemption from customs duty and VAT applies to this project. Upon award of the contract, UNOPS will facilitate the process of obtaining the required exemption certificates for the contractor. While every effort will be made to expedite the issuance of the certificates, bidders are advised to consider the potential time required for administrative procedures in their planning and bid preparation. For further details, please refer to the "Duties and Taxes" section under the Particulars tab in this ITB.

New clarification added: Clarification Request 17:We have a question regarding the specification for the thickness of the material in the following item:Lot 4, Item 4.3, Position 3: High-density chipboard coated with high-quality melamine resin, PP - Plastic Polypropylene 3mm edge.The required thickness of 3mm is not only unavailable in the local market but also considered non-standard and extremely rare in the international market, making it almost impossible to source. Could you confirm if it is possible to revise this specification to a thickness that is more readily available?UNOPS Clarification Response 17:Please be advised that the required thickness for the item will be revised to fit within the range of 2-3mm to align with market availability. New clarification added: Clarification Request 013:Please, can you explain to us the reasons for the postponement of the tender submission, since the first deadline was for submission on 11.12.2024 and the deadline for submission was postponed due to clarification of the specifications and completion of amendments until 17.12.2024. Now, one day before the tender submission, we receive a notification that the deadline for submission has been postponed to another date. This is also unclear since in the amendment you sent on 16.12.2024, the date for clarification of the tender is written until 03.01.2024, while the deadline for submission is 08.01.2024. New clarification added: Clarification Request 02:1. For the chairs in Lot 1, the required upholstery fabric is specified as 100% polyacrylic Dralon with a weight of 530 g/m² and Martindale 40,000 cycles. Based on our research into the composition and specifications of the requested fabric, we found that this type of material is typically used for outdoor purposes. We were unable to identify a fabric exactly matching these parameters. Additionally, it is unclear to us why chairs intended for indoor use, as indicated by their other specifications, should be upholstered with an outdoor fabric. Could you please specify the name and manufacturer of the fabric that meets your requirements and would be preferred for upholstering these chairs?2. The width of chairs 1.1 and 1.2 is specified as 80 cm. Such a chair does not exist, and this requirement is not met even by the EON chair from the manufacturer Nurus, which you have provided as an example in the image.3. The chairs 1.1 and 1.2 are illustrated with a wire-frame base (solid material, approximately 11 mm in diameter), but the description specifies a chrome-plated tube (22/2 mm). This type of "sled" frame only exists in the wire-frame version, as is the case with the EON model from the manufacturer Nurus. Could you confirm whether you require a wire-frame sled base or other type of chrome-plated tube base?UNOPS Clarification Response 02: 1. Thank you for your observation. Since the chairs in Lot 1 are intended for indoor use, we will revise the specifications through an Amendment and request the use of a suitable alternative— a high-quality, durable upholstery fabric, such as 100% polyester or a polyester-cotton blend.2. The specified width of 80 cm for the chairs seems quite wide, considering standard chair dimensions. A typical chair width is usually in the range of 50-70 cm. This will be revised in the Amendment. 3. After reviewing the specifications and illustrations, we can confirm that the intended chair base should be a chrome-plated tube (22/2 mm) as specified in the description. The wire-frame version of the sled base, such as seen with the EON model by Nurus, is not suitable for this requirement.
