New clarification added: Q10- Our manufacturer has exported medical gloves to Nigeria and is registered with NAFDAC before, but the NAFDAC certificate indicates only the corresponding specific importer.As what we know, the NAFDAC certificate can be applied only by the importer/purchaser at the relevant Service of Ministry of Health of Nigeria, after the PO is awarded. Could you please kindly re-confirm if it is acceptable that we provide the valid NAFDAC certificate before shipment instead of in the bid submission?Ans 10- Please note that a Valid NAFDAC Certificate must be submitted as part of the documentations required during the tender process. Otherwise the bidder shall be disqualified.

New clarification added: Q8-Please advise if we can make a submission with a pending NAFDAC certification which is under process?Ans 8Yes you can. As long as you anticipate that the NAFDAC license shall be ready by the time of the tender submission deadline.Please provide documentary evidence for the process.

New clarification added: Q6-While we understand that there is no financial offer at this time, kindly confirm the delivery timeframe that will be permitted upon issuance of an order.Furthermore, are the quantities provided a one-time buy or usage over a certain period?Ans 6Please note that this is just an EOI and the delivery period will be specified in the actual tender.The quantities are expected to be provided on one time buy.

Also we would like to ask if it is mandatory to have a local branch or partner in Nigeria.Kind regards,Ans 5Please note that there is no financial offer needed at this stage. This is an expression of interest. Yes it is mandatory to have a local partner if the vendor is not registered in Nigeria. There can be a joint ventureship.

New clarification added: Q4b.2.“The Product must have certification for the ISO 11193 for single-use rubber examination gloves.” Please kindly advise if this is a mandatory document? or FDA CE ISO13485 and ISO9001 could be considered as acceptable equivalent ?Ans 4b.KIndly respond in the returnable forms whether your product has the requested certifications and provide documentary evidence where they do. Please note that where the requested certifications are not available, indicate your response in the section provided.

New amendment added #1: This Amendment is to correct the following:1. Under Section II Returnables-Qualification Form C, Item No. 4- Certification requirement for natural rubber gloves have been corrected to ASTM D35782. This has also been corrected in EOI document. The amended documents are named Amendment 1- Request for EOI_2024_50554_Section II_Returnables and Amendment 1-Request_for_EOI _2024_50554. These have been uploaded under the documents tab of the esourcing.

New clarification added: Q4-Dear Chief Procurement Officer,Hope this email may find you well.1. According to the requirements, “a valid copy of NAFDAC Certificate” should be provided. Please kindly advise if the NAFDAC Certificate issued before shipment (after placement of PO)is acceptable, or if SONCAP could be considered as acceptable equivalent ? 2.“The Product must have certification for the ISO 11193 for single-use rubber examination gloves.” Please kindly advise if this is a mandatory document? or FDA CE ISO13485 and ISO9001 could be considered as acceptable equivalent ?Ans 4NAFDAC licensing is a prerequisite to importation into Nigeria, therefore a valid NAFDAC Certificate must be provided, otherwise the bidder shall be disqualified.

New clarification added: Q2- Qualification Form C: Document, Certification, and Standard Requirementitem 4: The Product must have certification for the ASTM D6319 for nitrile rubber gloves or the ASTM D5378 for natural rubber gloves.Actually, ASTM D5378 is the Standard Performance Specification for Woven and Knitted Shower Curtains for Institutional and Household Use.ASTM D3578 is Standard Specification for Rubber Examination Gloves. Wonder to know whether it should be ASTM D3578 for natural rubber gloves?Ans 2This is a typo and it has been corrected. Our requirement is for ASTM D3578 for natural rubber gloves. The corrected requirement can be found in the documents named Amendment 1- Request for EOI_2024_50554_Section II_Returnables and Amendment 1-Request_for_EOI _2024_50554.
