We are reaching out to seek clarification on the following aspects related to the Pumped Storage Hydropower (PSH) project:1. Could you please provide information on the minimum capacity requirement for the PSH?Answer: The minimum capacity prerequisite aligns with a pumped hydro storage facility deemed feasible as an energy storage solution for the grid, accommodating a substantial share of at least 35% variable renewable energy2. Are there any specific technical requirements or preferences for the PSH system, such as capacity, turbine type, or reservoir specifications? Answer: Please refer to item 25 in the Terms of Reference for the factors that need to be considered, and build upon those.3. Would it be possible to declare the number of bidders for this opportunity? How many are local and how many are international?Answer: The tender is an open international tender. We welcome both local and international bidders who provide the service and fit the requirements criteria of the tender. UNOPS is not in a position to disclose any information on numbers of bidders and other details pertaining to the competition aside from the information already providedThank you.

Please try your best to submit by this deadline.We are looking forward to starting to work on this project.

New clarification added: Question: With reference to the RFP on Enhancing Hydro Storage Viability: De-Risking Pump Storage Hydro Project Development, we wish to request for an extension of the deadline for submission of proposals from 19 January 2024 to 29 February 2024.This is taking into account the complexity of the project and considering the holiday season here in the Philippines, we may not be able to secure adequate information from concerned agencies/entities. These factors may affect our ability to prepare a responsive and comprehensive proposal.Answer: We can extend deadline to 5 Feb 2024, Monday Noon Manila time
