Provision of energy efficiency/ renewable energy equipment, which will be piloted on a residential building in Cairo, Egypt
The pilot building is a residential building located in Beverly Hills – 229. The building developer is the
Emirates Realestate Development represented by Mr. Amre Gapre. The pilot site project is in Sheikh Zayed City, Al Sheikh Zayed, Giza Governorate, Egypt. It is a residential building composed of 18 apartments on 6 floors (basement plus five floors). Each apartment is designed for five to six people. Each apartment is composed of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room.
UNEP will support the procurement of specific technical equipment, to render it more energy efficient and promote the use of renewable energy technologies, as well as monitoring equipment to prepare a detailed evaluation of the building’s performance. UNEP’s national partner for the project, RCREEE, shall support the receipt and delivery of equipment in Egypt, together with Emirates Realestate Development. Technical specifications of the building are included as an annex to these terms of reference.
In this context, UNEP is seeking vendors for the following equipment. The vendors are expected to deliver a technical and financial proposal for these services, as well as a timeline for delivery.

Bidders is free to bid for one or more lots, noting the below provision indicated in the ITB:
UNOPS reserves the right to cancel and/or award one or more lots based on the budget availability and priority. In case of award of 2 lots or more to the same bidder, UNOPS amy require additional information to confirm its operational capacity to deliver within the timeframe. 


Vendors will be solely responsible for clearing legal barriers and customs for transport to Egypt. 

If needed and wherever possible, vendors will be provided support clearing legal barriers and customs for transport to Egypt, by national project partner, RCREEE. All bids must be detailed and inclusive of all costs, delivery, installation, and commissioning, along with a financial breakdown.
Financial quotes should be in the format requested.
