The pilot building is a residential building located in Beverly Hills – 229. The building developer is the
Emirates Realestate Development represented by Mr. Amre Gapre. The pilot site project is in Sheikh Zayed City, Al Sheikh Zayed, Giza Governorate, Egypt. It is a residential building composed of 18 apartments on 6 floors (basement plus five floors). Each apartment is designed for five to six people. Each apartment is composed of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room.
UNEP will support the procurement of specific technical equipment, to render it more energy efficient and promote the use of renewable energy technologies, as well as monitoring equipment to prepare a detailed evaluation of the building’s performance. UNEP’s national partner for the project, RCREEE, shall support the receipt and delivery of equipment in Egypt, together with Emirates Realestate Development. Technical specifications of the building are included as an annex to these terms of reference.
In this context, UNEP is seeking vendors for the following equipment. The vendors are expected to deliver a technical and financial proposal for these services, as well as a timeline for delivery.
Bidders is free to bid for one or more lots, noting the below provision indicated in the ITB:
UNOPS reserves the right to cancel and/or award one or more lots based on the budget availability and priority. In case of award of 2 lots or more to the same bidder, UNOPS amy require additional information to confirm its operational capacity to deliver within the timeframe.
Vendors will be solely responsible for clearing legal barriers and customs for transport to Egypt.
If needed and wherever possible, vendors will be provided support clearing legal barriers and customs for transport to Egypt, by national project partner, RCREEE. All bids must be detailed and inclusive of all costs, delivery, installation, and commissioning, along with a financial breakdown.
Financial quotes should be in the format requested.

New clarification added: Dear Ahmed Wanas, Please find below the answer for question 3 and 4 : 3. Regarding lot 4, item 4.1: Can we provide the required capacity through 10 units of 300 litres each or does it have to be a centralized 3000 L thermal solar system for domestic hot water? We maintain the initially required configuration in the ITB.4. Regarding lot 4, item 4.2: Can we provide the required capacity (365W X 27 Panels =9855 W) through a combination of High efficiency PV panels with capacity different than 365W (for example 18 X 550W panels)?We maintain the initially required configuration in the ITB.

New amendment added #2: Dear suppliers, The purpose of this amendment is to modify in the general infos : 1- "Bidders are free to bid for one or more lots, noting the below provision indicated in the ITB:UNOPS reserves the right to cancel and/or award one or more lots based on the budget availability and priority. In case of award of 2 lots or more to the same bidder, UNOPS amy require additional information to confirm its operational capacity to deliver within the timeframe. "instead of : Bidders can participate in 1 or 2 lots max as follows: 1+3 or 2+4. Due to the fixed maximum budget available for the procurement, a combination of bids will be made to maximise the total items that are procured, while ensuring all items listed in Lots 1 and 2 are obtained. Also in the check list;2-" Confirmation letter or statement describing actions/policy of bidder with respect to labor rights,climate change and sustainability is no longer required as those aspects are already incorporated in the DRiVE Questionnaire under Form Section - to be filled online by all bidders. "

For Lots 1,3 and 4: Should the price presented from our side include the fees for installation or only the supply and delivery of goods?The Price should include only the supply and delivery of goods, installation fees must be provided separately as indicated in the pricing form (Form C). 2. Can we submit a bid for a single lot or a combination of our choice of any of the lots or is there a certain combination of lots required to be bidded for? (For example can we submit a bid for only lots 1, 3 and 4?)Bidders are free to bid for one or more lots, noting the below provision indicated in the ITB: UNOPS reserves the right to cancel and/or award one or more lots based on the budget availability and priority. Regarding "At least two reference letters or certificate of receipt of goods or proof of successful completion of two contracts like the current requirement" within the document checklist, can we provide the references from our supplier/subcontractor or does it have to be references for contracts fulfilled by our company only?Dear supplier, References must be from your supplier/subcontractor please.Best regards

New amendment added #1: Dear suppliers, The purpose of this amendment is to modify:1- The closing date of this present ITB is extended until 23/01/2023, as well as the deadline for clarifications until 16/01/2023.2- Please provide the information (complete name, address, capacity and experience) of your local representative or partner (legal entity) based in Egypt to assist on the following actions site survey, technical discussions, customs, tax, transportation, installation, commissioning, maintenance, storage. As mentioned on the ITB's Documents Section II: Schedules of Requirements and Section_III_Returnable Bidding Forms. Please be guided accordingly.
