The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite prospective bidders to submit a quotation for Construction of Jopa Women's Safe Market, Market Stalls, Ablution Facilities, Storage Facilities, Kitchen, Waste Storage Area and Child Care Area Including Ancillary and Reticulation Works in Jopa Market, Zimbabwe. in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the Schedule of Requirements as set out in this Request for Quotation (RFQ).

New clarification added: Construction of Jopa Women's Safe Market, Market Stalls, Ablution Facilities, Storage Facilities, Kitchen, Waste Storage Area and Child Care Area Including Ancillary and Reticulation Works in Jopa Market, Zimbabwe RFQ/2022/42495 Pre-Bid/Clarification Meeting Minutes June 29, 2022The meeting was opened by Abdul Hadi Samadi UNOPS Procurement Officer who thanked the participants for their time and their interest in the tender as well as taking part in the site visit. Mohamed SULTAN UNOPS, Civil Engineer took over the floor and he stated that the pre site visit meeting, the site visit and this pre-bid clarification meeting was not mandatory, but it is encouraged to give bidders more clarity when they prepare their tenders, and he talked about all technical document for the project. Then Abdul Hadi Samadi UNOPS Procurement Officer explained all returnable documents and the eligibility, qualification, technical and financial criteria to the bidders. Moyiz Ebrahimji, UNOPS, Design Services Unit Project Manager took over the floor and he emphasized the all technical and financial document and informed the bidders to submit their document before the submission deadline and he explained that the purpose of the meeting is to go through UNGM, e-Sourcing, evaluation criteria and returnables of the tender, BOQ, scope of work. Patience MAKUVIRE UNOPS, Health, Safety, Social and Environmental Associate - Environmental Management presented the HSSE and its requirements. Abdul Hadi Samadi gave a brief description of the tender, that it is for Construction of Jopa Women's Safe Market, Market Stalls, Ablution Facilities, Storage Facilities, Kitchen, Waste Storage Area and Child Care Area Including Ancillary and Reticulation Works in Jopa Market, Zimbabwe and that the tender documents are only available in e-Sourcing through UNGM. Abdul Hadi Samadi emphasized the need for the bidders to review the e-Sourcing portal and all documents in the preparation for their proposals and bidders should take note of the deadline for clarification and the submission of proposal. He also encouraged the bidders to use the e-Sourcing portal for further clarifications. He also stated any changes to the tender will be communicated through the e-Sourcing and therefore, bidders should continue to check their email and the UNOPS e-Sourcing portal. Abdul Hadi Samadi explained the following:a. All the returnables of the tender. He reiterated the importance of fully completing all the forms for each Lot since the lots will be evaluated independently.b. He explained the evaluation method and criteria The presentations were followed by questions and answers. The summary of the questions and answers are provided below. The meeting was ended by Abdul Hadi Samadi by thanking the participants and he emphasized that all the tender information is available in e-Sourcing and also encouraged bidders to submit clarifications through e-Sourcing. In pre-bid clarification meeting 15 companies were attended. Questions and Answers – Pre-Bid/Clarification meeting Question: BidderThere is some missing information in the BOQ. Answer: UNOPS CommentsThe PM has already noted the missing information in the BOQ, therefore the BOQ will be revised and will be posted in the e-Sourcing “Amendment 1_Annex 3_Jopa Women's Safe Market BoQ”.
