Tender cancelled on 2021-10-05 08:20 UTC. UNOPS has decided to cancel this tender due to budget constraints and a major change in scope of works/requirements. A new ITB will be issued once the design review is completed and design documents are ready.

New amendment added #4: This Amendment 4 is to extend the1) bid submission deadline from 1PM Nairobi Time on 14 July 2021 to 1 PM Nairobi Time on 21 July 2021 and 2) expected contract award date from 5 August to 16 August 2021The Q&A has been amended to reflect the revised contract award date i.e 16 August 2021 and the REVISED Q & A is uploaded in the Documents Section of this ITB.Regards,

New amendment added #3: This Amendment 3 is to upload - minutes of the pre-bid meeting held on 5 July 2021- the pre bid presentation and- answers to questions raised by bidders including the following:Question : Contractors registered with the Tanzania Contractors Registration Board but not with the Zanzibar's Board, will they be allowed to participate in the bidding process and get Zanzibar's registration after successfully being awarded the contract?Answer : No. The requirement is to have a registration with Zanzibar Contractors Registration Board (ZCRB) when bidding for the tender. The project has been informed that registration is not complex and does not take long to conclude. Please have your company registered in Zanzibar.Since the clarification deadline has passed on 7 July 2021, bidders will not be able to raise any more issues/questions on the e-sourcing platform. For bidders who need further clarification on the registration processes in Zanzibar, exceptionally, they can raise them offline via email afr.kemc.procurement@unops.orgNote that no other issues will be entertained except those on the registration processes. The minutes, presentation and Q&A are available under the 'Documents' section of this ITB. Please note that the Q&A, the minutes and the pre-bid meeting presentation will form an integral part of the tender and resultant contract(s).Regards,

New clarification added: UNOPS Answer: No nationalities are excluded from submitting a bid. Please note additional local requirements :1) Bidder must be a corporate body, duly registered under the laws of Zanzibar. Bidder must provide a copy of incorporation/registration certificate.2) Bidder must be Class 1-7 registered with Zanzibar Contractors Registration Board (ZCRB). Bidder must attach proof of registration.

New amendment added #1: This Amendment 1 is to1) change the virtual clarification meeting link from meet.google.com/qfd-ezcv-ryq to meet.google.com/zcp-sjrf-rds. This change is reflected in the 'Clarifications/pre-bid meeting details' section of the ITB.2) include the following requirement in the scope of bid:The scope of ITBs Ref. no. ITB/2021/21436, ITB/2021/21531 and ITB/2021/21456 is similar but the project locations are distinctly different. Therefore, bidders who would like to participate in more than one of the three ITBs, must propose key personnel and equipment specific to each ITB /Island. That means key personnel and equipment proposed for one ITB cannot be used for another ITB.
