New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please note the below-raised questions and our official responses in connection to the request for proposal, ref. ITB/2021/21294;Question Two:Are you able to share with us an approximation of the expected take up for each type of kit requested over the term of the LTA?Answer Two:We are unable to share an approximation at the moment. Please note that this LTA may be used by other UNOPS offices/ UN agencies. However, UNOPS will not be committed to purchase any minimum quantity under this LTA.Question Three:Why is the tender written around a specific company’s products? We can clearly see the 7 kits are directly linked to an specific company's equipment. By specifying a specific manufacturer this does not become an open tender. The tender should be written around ‘capabilities required’ not a specific company’s products. Writing the tender in this way excludes many manufacturers of hook and line systems.Answer Three:The specifications are based on our market research combined with the lessons learned from previous processes for similar items and debriefs with various suppliers. Facilitating effective competition is the driving reason why we have issued this ITB in 8 lots with the intention to sign one or multiple LTAs with suppliers able to meet or exceed the technical specifications set in the ITB. Question Four:Please can you confirm what information is required for the line "BIDDERS DELIVERY DATA", on line A17 in the first tab of the Form B & C Excel sheet? Or is it simply the title for the items underneath it?Answer Four:No information is required in that row, It is the title of the data underneath.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. ITB/2021/21294;Question One:I would request clarification for the below sustainability criterion: "Sustainability criterion: Social health and well-being; 1. The bidders must provide proof that they are in possession of a valid ISO 14000 certificate, or equivalent, for the factories in which the equipment were produced, Please clarify that is this valid ISO 14000 certificate or equivalent for the bidder itself or for the factories that produce the equipment? As we, the bidder, are the authorized dealer to participate in this tender and we currently don't have this certificate, can we submit the manufacturer's ISO 14000 certificate to satisfy this criterion?Answer One:Bidders are allowed to submit their own ISO 14000 certificate or the manufacturer's ISO 14000 certificate (with the condition to attach a letter that confirms that they are the authorised dealer of the manufacturer for this product) to satisfy this criterion.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.Regards,
