Supply of Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs)
TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR SUPPLY OF ATMOSPHERIC WATER GENERATORS (AWGS).
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Each year, on average, WFP feeds more than 90 million people and it is present in over 81 countries. WFP’s region of Eastern Africa (RBN) covers Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea.
WFP RBN is interested in testing the above new technology in Nairobi, Kenya for a period of 3-6 months to ascertain its suitability for operations, before considering rollout to sites in the region.
Reputable suppliers of AWGs producing over 500 litres per day of clean drinking water for human consumption are invited to respond. The equipment should be capable of operating under solar power with minimal maintenance requirements. Supply under a lease agreement would be of additional interest, though outright purchase will be considered. Technical support by the supplier will be required for the duration of the test.
Prospective responders must be registered with the relevant authorities in their domicile countries and have a legal authorization to provide these services.
WFP hereby invites qualified responders to express their interest by emailing wfp.rbnprocurement@wfp.org, Subject: Expression of Interest – Atmospheric Water Generators until 5 June 2021, 17:00 hours (Nairobi time).
All requests for clarifications and questions strictly relating to this invitation only should be sent via e-mail to: wfp.rbnprocurement@wfp.org
Please note that this is not an Invitation to Tender. Rates/prices are not required at this stage, and this invitation does not bind the World Food Programme to issue any tenders or contracts to the companies expressing their interest.
WFP DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES FOR REGISTRATION FORMS
