The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite prospective bidders to submit the bid for Supply and Delivery of 700ltr Deep freezer to the Ministry of Health, Addis Ababa Ethiopia, in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the Schedule of Requirements as set out in this Request for Quotation (RFQ).

After careful consideration, the UNOPS Evaluation Team has decided to cancel the tender. This is due to that fact that our minimum technical requirement required material revision. New clarification added: Since the quantity has been increased from 4 to 40 pcs. So achieving 5 weeks time is not possible, hence requested to please change the delivery period also.Also please let us know the mode of shipment preferred.Dear Vendor,Thank you for your clarification question, considering the quantity changes UNOPS has requested for vendors' to provide the delivery time. New clarification added: Dear Sir/Madam,The delivery lead time mentioned is 5 weeks. However, The manufacturing lead time is 20 days and Sea Freight Transit takes 22 days. we can Air Freight the Equipment but the charges will be comparitively high?So will the delivery of 6-7 Weeks time be acceptable?Also, our compressor Starting Voltage is only 10% below nominal voltage? will this be acceptable?Awaiting your reply.Dear Vendor,Thank you for your clarification questions, considering the quantity changes UNOPS has requested for vendors' to provide the delivery time. But we would like to point out the following, as freezers for COVID vaccine are of major importance.As you request for a freezer, we highly recommend that the temperature range should be up to a minimum of -70 ºC as this is needed for the BioNtech vaccine.Even better would be more than -80 ºC.Furthermore, such freezers should combine environmental friendliness with low energy consumption, convenient operation and an individual safety concept. For example a warm-up time during power failure from -80 °C to -60 °C of approx. 4 hours is recommendable to keep a proper cold chain. New amendment added #2: Dear Bidders,Please note we have amended the below in Form B, Form C, Criteria and quantity under this RFQ as follows;The minimum technical requirement Ice pack freezing capacity: At least 30 Kg/24 hour has been removed and the Electronic temperature control: up to -50°C is changed to -80°C.The quantity has been changed from 4units to 40units both in Form B and Form C.On Section Criteria, we have added one more qualification criteria "Financial capability. Liquidity: the ratio Average Current assets / Current liabilities over the last 2 years must be equal or greater than 1. Bidders must include in their Bid audited balance sheets covering the last 2 exercises"On Section Checklist additional document is required, "Copy of Audited Financial statements (Balance sheets) for the last two recent years"As the Evaluation method is Most technically compliant bidder with lowest price and shortest lead-time will be awarded bidders are allowed to state their delivery time.Best RegardsUNOPS
