Description

The ILO seeks to contract a highly qualified company in the field of indigenous traditional occupations and labour statistics to prepare a technical paper, and participate in a technical workshop. 

The chosen contractor will be responsible for the following:

1. Preparing of a technical paper of approximately 35,000 words (excluding annexes and bibliography) on indigenous traditional occupations and labour statistics to serve as a background report for a technical workshop. The purpose of the paper is to  enable workshop participants to explore the notion of traditional occupations;  to assess the challenges and opportunities in capturing traditional occupations in  them in labour statistics; identify ways and means for strengthen visibility of traditional occupations in labour statistics including through developing statistical definition of traditional occupations and data disaggregation by ethnicity.

2. Participating in a technical workshop organised by the ILO to present and discuss the technical papers’ findings and recommendations, and making technical contributions throughout the workshop as needed; integrating feedback emerging from the workshop into technical paper.
