New clarification added: Please note the below raised questions and our official responses in connection to the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2020/14170: Question 1: Regarding to Section II: Schedule of Requirements, General: Item - Bidder shall be an authorized representative of the manufacturer name in Yemen.,since this is a global tender, Bidders usually buy vehicles from their own country or from other countries and can make their superstructure in another country. then they delivers the finished product to the delivery locations. therefore, as far as we understand, this article also reduces competition because it restricts companies that want to make many offers so that this item only allows the local bidders. I kindly request you to remove this item from the list.Answer: Kindly note that the required materials are trucks subject to any manufacturer defects, as well as malfunctions which may happen at any time; therefore, this item was put to ensure the warranty is not affected during the warranty period, not to limit the competition.mIn reference to the ongoing war in Yemen and the limited access for international suppliers, in case any test or maintenance or spare part or after-sale service is required by the client or beneficiary, it will be difficult to reach any international supplier unless he has a physical exist in YemenNote: This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please note the below raised questions and our official responses in connection to the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2019/10342: Question 1: We kindly ask you to reduce the number of documentation needed in this bid due to the Corona virus and so often our need to communicate with lot of people in order to arrange a complete offer for you. Answer: Please note the closing date for submission of offers has been extended to provide all bidders with sufficient time to put the required documentation together. Thus, the number of required documents cannot be reduced.Question 2: How we are supposed to quote you and all borders are closed due to coronavirus?Answer: Bidders are encouraged to conduct sufficient assessment/intelligence on possible and most feasible supply routes to use. To factor in the disruption witnessed globally, the delivery period has been increased from four months to five months.Question 2: Delivery Time DAP within 4 monthsYou are kindly requested to increase the delivery time at least 6 months. Answer: As the items required are critical for our project implementation thus time being of essence, we have considered to increase the delivery period from four months to five months.Note: This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.
