The United Nations Procurement Division/Regional Procurement Office (UNPD/RPO), hereby invites qualified and Competent Companies to submit their expressions of interests for the Installation of Medium Voltage Switch Gears, Automatic Transfer Switch , Low Voltage Boards and a Step-up Transformer to a Power Substation at United Nations Entebbe Support Base , Uganda. United Nations Entebbe Support Base (UNESB) under Horizontal Infrastructure Works (HIW) project has completed the upgrading of the electrical system throughout the base with distribution of power from main power station to four different substations at 11KV Medium voltage and then step-down 11KV/415V at substations before distribution to various buildings and facilities. Currently, the City Power (UMEME) is the main source at Medium voltage with generator Sets at low voltage as the Back-up supply for the former. However, Horizontal Infrastructure Works Project is still awaiting supply of MV switch gears and Low voltage boards to be installed in the network of power lines. UNESB is seeking a qualified UMEME certified contractor to install MV Switchgears, LV panels and transformers in the network of power line established by HIW project. Bidders shall be required to attend the mandatory site visit / pre-bid meeting which will be scheduled during bidding time, and the date shall be communicated to all bidders. At the site visit, bidders shall collect all the data and information, to satisfy themselves on any special requirements or difficulties that the site may present, and to make any necessary inquiries which, in the bidder’s opinion, require further explanation, as no claim for lack of information on any issues will be allowed by the UN.
