Closing date: 31.03.2010 Terms of Reference: REQUEST FOR PRESENTATIONS The International Annual Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology (JIAMCATT) will hold its annual session on 28-30 April 2010 on the premises of the European Commission in Luxembourg. This meeting should gather approximately 150 specialists from more than 60 international organizations. It invites software companies and commercial representatives to submit proposals for presentations and/or demonstrations that would be held outside the JIAMCATT plenary session in the following areas: Ø Tools for translators, including computer-assisted translation
Ø Tools for terminology, including computer-assisted terminology
Ø Tools for outsourcing
Ø Tools for editors
Ø Multilingual document management systems
Ø Voice recognition in the six official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) and the 23 official languages of the European Union.
JIAMCATT organizers will provide space and Internet connections. For safety reasons, companies are not allowed to invite on the JIAMCATT premises participants other than those attending the JIAMCATT meeting. Created in June 1987 at the United Nations Office at Geneva, the Joint Inter-Agency Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology (JIAMCATT) provides its partners with a forum for debate, exchange of expertise and cooperation in the fields of computer-assisted terminology and translation, interpretation and documentation retrieval. It works to establish a proprietary terminology and information repository available to all participating organizations. Information to include in your EOI are detailed below.
