Description
The United Nations is seeking expressions of interest from Companies interested in participating in a solicitation process to enter into a contract for the Provision of Prepaid Card Services. The Prepaid Card is required primarily for the payment of per diem (or "Daily Subsistence Allowance") and expenses related to travel of UN staff and participants in conferences and meeting facilitated by the UN. The Prepaid Cards will be used by UN staff and meeting participants as debit cards for onsite/in-person payments, online payments and cash withdrawals at ATM machines or over the counter worldwide without the cardholder required to maintain a bank account. Meeting participants will have nationalities from different countries. The Prepaid Card may also be used to replace Petty Cash for low value purchases. The qualified Company will be expected to: - have an electronic on-line system for the UN to allow for remote and multiple loading/topping up of Cards; - issue Prepaid Cards acceptable by at least Visa and/or MasterCard; - be able to send the Prepaid Cards to locations worldwide; - provide Prepaid Cards in multiple currencies, and at a minimum support USD; - invoice the UN and accept payment by electronic funds transfer; The estimated annual volume of Prepaid Cards is 6000 cards in USD, 8200 cards in EUR, and 700 cards in CHF. The expected duration of contract is five years. The contract will be placed for and on behalf of all United Nations Systems entities, including the United Nations Secretariat and Funds, Programmes or Agencies.
