Description
The United Nations Staff Mutual Insurance Society against Sickness and Accident (UNSMIS) is a not for profit, self-insured and self-administered group medical insurance that is managed within the Medical Insurance Section in the Financial Resources Management Service, Division of Adminsitration, UNOG. UNSMIS’s goal is to reimburse, within the rules and regulations of the Society’s internal rules, medical expenses encountered by its members arising from sickness, accident and maternity. Since 1948, UNSMIS has evolved into a multi-employer fund that provides medical insurance coverage to Staff, Retirees and eligible family members of different UN Secretariat funds and offices as well as to certain specialised agencies headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. As at 31 December 2017, UNSMIS insured over 26,000 individuals worldwide, reimbursing roughly 100,000 medical insurance claims in the year. The claims accounted for roughly 400,000 invoices from all different parts of the world, in various languages and currencies. UNOG, on behalf of UNSMIS is seeking expressions of interest to participate in a tender with a possible contract start date of 01 October 2018, for a suitable and high quality service supplier that will provide a comprehensive Robotics Process Automation (RPA) solution for administrative and claims processes. The proposed RPA solution must be: a) able to mimic the exact “manual” standard operating procedures followed through existing applications by their users. b) suitable for high and low volume tasks that are either repetitive or time consuming, for instance (but not limited to) data standardization, data enrichment, data movement and data matching. c) depending on the scenarios and when applicable, to reduce error rates and increase the integrity of data. The contract term is anticipated to be for a period of 3 (three) years with possibility of two consecutive one-year extensions (3+1+1).
