Archaeological excavations of the site of Shahr-e Gholghola, World Heritage Site in Bamiyan

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

In the framework of the project Local Community Empowerment and Preservation of Shahr-e Gholghola,UNESCO seeks to carry out archaeological excavations/surveys in the Western area of the site of Shahr-e Gholghola in Bamiyan (about 4.5 hectares). It is the first step of a wider project aiming at improving the conservation status of the site, through the establishment of an overall rehabilitation plan for the site as an archaeological park and a conservation programme combined with an archaeological survey.
