The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Bangkok, Thailand, is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor for repairing of the insulation of the Air Ducts and acoustic improvement of the Air Handling Unit Rooms, at the ESCAP compound, Bangkok, Thailand. Brief information on the Scope of Work as well as the technical information of relevant material, are provided for reference. 1. Scope of Work 1.1) Repair existing duct insulation 1.2) Replacement of Wall Acoustic Panels 1.3) Daily clean-up of work area and adjacent areas. 1.4) Coordinate the installation work with other concerned parties, as per the following areas in the buildings: - Lower Basement AHU Room 1 - Lower Basement AHU Room 2 - Lower Basement AHU Room 3 - First Floor AHU Room 1 - First Floor AHU Room 2 2. Insulation Material 2.1) Duct Wrap Insulation: - Flexible thermal insulation made from cross-linked closed cell foam. - Factory applied aluminium foil and acrylic adhesive backing - Thickness 10 ~ 12 mm - Density (foam core only) 25 kg/m3 - Thermal conductivity (ASTM C518) < 0.032 W/mK (@ 23 0C) - Water absorption (JIS K6767) < 0.1% - Operating Temperature -80 ~ 100oC - Resistance to fungi (ASTM G21): Zero growth - Fire and smoke behaviour: - BS 476 part 6 & 7 Class 0 - ISO 5659-2 Smoke density DM < 200 - NFPA 90A, NFPA 90B Complies with requirements - UL 94 HF-1 (UL listed product) - Satisfies smoke density & toxicity requirements of BS 6853 2.2) Acoustic panels: - Semi-rigid, acoustic/thermal insulation panels for Mechanical Rooms - Mineral Wool or Acoustic Polyester. - Polypropylene facer reinforcement - Thickness: 50 mm. - Flame spread index = 0 ; Smoke development index = 0 (ASTM E84, UL723) - Test for non-combustibility: non-combustible (ASTM E136, BS476) - Resistance to fungi: Zero growth (ASTM G21, ASTM C1338) - Minimum acoustic performance coefficients (ASTM C423)
