The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. In emergencies, WFP gets food to where it is needed, saving the lives of victims of war, civil conflict and natural disasters. After the cause of an emergency has passed, WFP uses food to help communities rebuild their shattered lives. On average, WFP aims to reach more than 90 million people with food assistance in more than 70 countries. About 12,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.

WFP is exploring new ways to address hunger and developing new systems, processes and tools to deliver assistance in our global operations.

Facilitating WFP staff to disseminate official and consistent corporate data across WFP will augment fact based decision making and information and knowledge sharing in the organization. WFP seeks to acquire and implement a modern self-service reporting tool and has selected Tableau, market leader in this sector.

WFP hereby seeks and invites to pre-qualify interested reputable suppliers, certified partners and authorized distributors to express their interest by contacting WFP through the following dedicated e-mail address: hq.tenders@wfp.org not later than May 31st , 2016, 16:00 hours (Rome time).

Eligible suppliers, who have expressed their interest, may be invited to participate in a competitive tender exercise.
