A. Description of Requirements (Services): 1. Background: The Office of the Information and Communications technology (OICT) of the UN seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from a Contractor capable of providing professional services through the use of an online platform of freelance services for urgent, short-term and specific assignments in the most efficient way possible with minimal administrative overhead. The services will be required on various ICT projects in the following areas such as development, support, analytics, partnerships, governance, communications and outreach. 2. Objectives: The Contractor shall provide an online platform of professional services by professional freelancers in performing specific tasks covering a range of activities. These activities will be performed during a short term period which is defined as no more than 3 weeks. Through the online platform, managed by the Contractor, OICT/UN can post the requirements or skills needed for particular tasks and where workers, contractors, freelancers can offer their skills and services for these limited projects. Services will be provided on an "as required basis". The following functions/roles will be required for the specific assignments: Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Data Analyst, Data visualisation specialist, Technical Writer (multiple languages), Proof-reader (Multiple languages), Game Designer, Computer Programmer, Mobile application developer, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialist, Events Coordinator. 3. Tasks expected to be performed by the Contractor 1.1 The Contractor will provide and maintain the online platform online web platform that will be used for the posting and acquisition of the freelance services. The contractor will provide the necessary login credentials that will enable OICT the ability to register, post requirements for freelance services onto the platform and after a review, select registered freelancers for a posted service. The platform will also be available for freelancers to register, maintain their profile and to apply to be selected to perform a posted.
