Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking System

Purpose of the Request: The United Nations is seeking information from potential vendors to understand the technologies, solutions, and systems for the provision of Fleet Management and Vehilce Tracking system (FMVTS). The gathered information will be used to determine the technologies feasibility, scope, cost estimate, timeframe and resources required to do the next solicitation when the time comes. Background: The United Nations Departement Of Support (DOS) may have a requirement to establish a Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking System (FMVTS) Long Term Contract. DOS through it is worldwide entities, operate a global fleet of 13000 various types of vehicles (Diesel, Gasoline, Hybrid, Full Electricl Vehicles, Sedans, SUVs, Trucks, Heavy and earth moving equipment). Interested vendors shall provide the information that meets the following system requirements: System Requirements: - Real-time GPS tracking. - Fleet management software with capabilities to manage vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, fuel monitoring, driver behavior analysis, alerts, vehicle remote and immoblizing, generate reporting, and dashboards). - Driver identification (with 2 immobilizers) - Ability to read vehicle OBDII data including Odometer, fuel, speed, rpm, etc. - Ability to group vehicles, drivers. Hardware Requirements - Modular design for custom configurations (One primary GSM device with possibility to add Sat comms (Hybrid)) . - Compatibile with different vehicle types (sedans, SUVs, trucks, and heavy equipment). Communication Options: - GSM-based communication for urban and densely populated areas. - Satellite communication for remote and rural operations (10% of the fleet size). - Hybrid capability (GSM & Satellite) to provide seamless connectivity across varying environments. Hosting Options - On-premises hosting by DOS at the organization’s facilities for enhanced control and data security is preferable - (Direct communication between UN vehicles and UN server with no middle processing or checkpoints). - API availability for custom integrations. - Compliance with related data cyber security and data protection standard certifications.
