Supply of Electrical Materials, Components and Accessories to the UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), Brindisi, has the requirement for a one-time purchase of electrical materials, components and accessories, with delivery at its premises located in Brindisi, Italy, for replenishing the Strategic Deployment Solutions (SDS). The electrical materials, components and accessories have been grouped in packages suitable for the requirement of a typical 100 (one hundred) persons camp that shall be composed as follows: 1. Switchboards Package: i. Low voltage panel boards ii. Prefabricated Metal Compact Enclosure and Accessories 2. Cables Package: i. Multi core, FG16OR16 0.6/1kV, rubber insulated/sheathed cables, or equivalent ii. Single core, FG16R16 0.6/1kV, rubber insulated/sheathed cables, or equivalent iii. Multi core, FG16OR16AR16 0.6/1kV rubber insulated – PVC sheathed armoured cables, or equivalent iv. Cabling accessories (copper cable lugs, cable ties and resin cable joints) v. Installation accessories (wire crimpers, pliers/scissors, cable strippers and wire cutters). 3. Cableways Package: i. Polyethylene high density conduit pipe for underground cable ducts ii. Precast concrete pits iii. Precast concrete manhole covers and frames 4. Earthing Package: i. Bare copper wire conductor ii. Copper coated steel earthing rod, 1.5m length with cable clamps iii. Copper pressed lug for joint connection iv. Stainless steel bolt for joint connection 5. External Lights Package: i. Lighting poles with LED street luminaires ii. PVC electrical junction boxes It is anticipated that partial awards per package may be considered. The supplied items shall be appropriate for use in harsh environmental conditions and suitable for different climate zones (e.g., desert, tropical areas, mountain sites, etc.) in which there are several variations of the relative natural forces (e.g., temperature, humidity, wind, and other climatic conditions). All materials/items shall be in compliance with the relevant current international or national codes, standards, and regulations, including, but not limited to the following: • ISO International Organization for Standardization • ASTM American Society for Testing and Materials • BS British Standards • EN European Standards • NSF National Sanitation Foundation (US) • Other proven equivalent international standard may be accepted at UN discretion. Shipments shall be made using 20’ ISO sea containers in protective packaging to prevent breakages during transportation. The gross weight of each container must not exceed 10 tons. Delivery Terms: Delivery at Place – DAP UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy and/or Free Carrier – FCA nearest port of exit (INCOTERMS 2010). The potential bidders must have referenced experience strictly related to the Supply of Electrical Materials, Components and Accessories. The complete technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage following the closing date for this EOI.
