Provision of Global System for Mobile (GSM) Telecommunications services for the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).

United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) seeks to establish non-exclusive contract(s) with qualified companies for the Provision of GSM and gateway communication services for the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). The contract is anticipated to be for a period of three years with an option to extend for two additional periods of one year each (3+1+1). The Contractor shall possess the necessary facilities to provide affordable, high-quality local and international voice and data services and shall deliver seamless, multi-band wireless and wired connectivity, meeting the evolving needs of the UN community, including support for 5G and future 6G technology. The scope of services includes: • Provision of GSM and Gateway Services: Deliver advanced mobile communication capabilities tailored to UNON's needs, supporting both local and international operations. • Network and Connectivity Assurance: Conduct thorough surveys to ensure 100% network coverage within the UNON Gigiri Complex and surrounding areas, guaranteeing seamless connectivity. • Service Improvement and Reporting: Maintain a commitment to service improvement and innovation, providing regular updates on global coverage and connectivity options to UNON. • Billing and Reporting: Provide detailed monthly billing, including real-time online access to accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability in service usage and costs. The selected service provide shall be expected to demonstrate the following key capabilities: Comprehensive Network Coverage: Deliver extensive multi-band GSM services, including current and future technologies like 5G and 6G, ensuring robust local and international connectivity with a minimum of 95% coverage within Kenya and strategic global partnerships. High-Quality Voice and Data Services: Provide seamless, high-quality voice and data services that are both affordable and efficient, catering to the diverse needs of the UN community. Global Connectivity: Facilitate flexible global collaboration by ensuring uninterrupted mobile access worldwide, leveraging competitive roaming partnerships to empower UN personnel during international operations.
