Objective of the consultancy:
To identify a suitable consultancy firm with relevant experience to conduct the review of Unitaid’s scalability approach within and beyond HIV, TB, and malaria, aligning with its expanded mandate and the evolving landscape of development funding.
Qualification of Firm and Consultants:
The successful bidder will assemble a team of experienced consultants including the team lead. The team leader must have at least 15 years of extensive experience in public health and health financing, along with a deep knowledge and understanding of global health issues and health systems in LMICs.
Core team members shall have at least 5 years of individual extensive experience in their respective areas of technical expertise.
1. Advanced degree in public health, economics, international development, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in public health and health financing including in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, maternal and child health and beyond in LMICs.
3. Proven experience in global health financing, particularly in scaling innovations or transitioning donor-funded projects including domestic funding and ownership in LMICs.
4. Deep understanding of international financing mechanisms, including multilateral development banks, global health donor ecosystems, and public health systems in low- and middle-income countries.
5. Extensive experience in conducting complex assessments for global health initiatives, with a focus on scalability and sustainability.
6. Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with senior government officials, multilateral organizations, and other stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality reports with practical, actionable recommendations.
