Description
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the UN body for assessing the science related to climate change. It was established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 1988 to provide political leaders with periodic scientific assessments of scientific basis of climate change, its implications and risks, as well as to put forward adaptation and mitigation strategies primarily to policymakers at all levels, but also inter alia the scientific community, the United Nations, business, civil society, the media and general public. Building on the IPCC Code of Conduct, findings from the IPCC DEI survey commissioned by the IPCC, and in pursuit on implementing goal 3 of the IPCC Gender Policy, the IPCC is committed to building a welcoming, inclusive, respectful, and inspiring working environment suitable for the preparation of robust IPCC reports. In this regard, the IPCC Gender Action Team would like to procure the following services: - to produce training modules on the DEI in the context of the IPCC. - to deliver training to the targeted groups of the IPCC as well as training of the trainers. - to coordinate input and inform the development of the draft DEI action plan / framework tailored to the specific needs of the IPCC.
