Description
The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD), on behalf of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors for the provision of the mine action, EOD and specialist equipment, as listed below. The scope may include, but is not limited to, provision of equipment to locations such as South Sudan, Abyei, Central African Republic, Libya, Lebanon, Western Sahara, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ethiopia. This initiative also aims to inform interested parties about the forthcoming formal procurement process, known as the Intitation to Bid (ITB), for the provision of the following equipment items: LOT 1: Detection Equipment May include but is not limited to: Metal detector and supporting components (Active / Passive hand held Metal detectors such as Minelab F3 or comparable), Dual sensor detector incorprating Metal Detector and Ground Penetrating Radar and all supporting components (Minehound VMR3 or comparable), Large-loop detection system (UPEX 740M or comparable), Magnetometer (Ebinger SC100UN or comparable), LOT 2: EOD Personnel Protective Equipment EOD PPE may include but is not limited to: Full-face blast visor, 5mm untreated polycarbonate (IMAS 10.30 compliant), Demining apron (IMAS 10.30 compliant) Safety Glasses (STANAG 2920) EOD operator personal protective equipment (PPE) bomb suit, LOT 3: EOD Equipment EOD equipment may include but is not limited to: EOD remotely operated vehicle for Improvised Explosive Device Disposal teams (Disruptor deployable; tracked or wheeled (depending on the mission area), Remote optical capability and must be both wireless and hardwired deployable.) Electronic Counter Measures (vehicle mounted and man-portable) Portable X-Ray for IED investigation Hook and Line Kits (Basic - Advanced depending on programmatic requirements) Firing Cable (300m/500m twisted Black/Tan on reel) Exploders/Shrike (ATLAS 400 or comparable) & Remote Firing Device (RFD) Disruptor, De-Armer and catridges EOD Tool Kit Handheld Differential GPS (Trimble GPSMAP 66i or comparable) Compass Tactical Binoculars EOD Multi-Tool HESCO Battalian Walls LOT 4: Explosive Identification and investigation Kits Field sampling and identification system capable of differentiating explosives, explosive residues and precursor chemicals including but not limited to: Group A to detect Polynitro Aromatics -  Substance of : TNT, TNP, DNT, Picric Acid, Tri Nitro Napthalene, Lead Styphnate Group B to detect Nitrate-esters Nitramines - Substance of: Semtex, RDX, HMX, PETN, EDGN, Nitro Glycerin, Nitro Cellulose, Tetryl, Smokeless Powder. Group C to detect Inorganic Nitrate Compounds - Substance of: Ammonium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrate, Barium Nitrate, Black Powder.  Test paper dispenser and test papers (resolution 20 nanograms), held aerosol can with paper wipes. Evidence collection kit including foldable shovel, evidence bags and tags, forensic gloves, cotton wool swabs, ant-static bags, marker flags, sampling tubes, disposal tweezers, wooden tongue depressors, anti-static poly vials and a tactical bag/pouch for carrying the kit. LOT 5: Mobile Ammuntion Incineration System The mobile ammunition incinerator designed to safely and efficiently incinerate small arms ammunition (SAA) and pyrotechnics LOT 6: Weapons Storage Universal Weapons Rack (UWR Storage System)
