Provision of Upgrading(Supply and Maintaning) of the UNCC Banquet , Ministerial lounge carpet and Granite floor finish for the UNCC entrance foyer

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), wishes to contract a qualified contractor to change the old carpets at the UNCC banquet hall and ministerial lounge including the UNCC entrance stone tiles into a new granite floor finish to give the space a new look and better experience for the users. This was necessary due to the old age of the floor finishes in the mentioned areas. The UNCC building was constructed in 1996 to enable the ECA to host major conference assemblies of various sizes. There are 6 major conference rooms which are of various size and together will accommodate approximately 2000 delegates. The conference building also houses several lounges, restaurants and bars which give food and beverage service for the delegates and users, two of these spaces are Banquet Hall and Ministerial lounge. Banquet Hall is mainly used as a ball room as well as a makeshift conference room, the space is 672 square meters having an open floor plan. The Ministerial lounge area is also used mainly to accommodate smaller conferences, Gatherings, meetings etc. with its own dining, bar and kitchen area. This space is 624 square meters and unlike the banquet hall, does not have an open floor plan but is divided into the dining area, conference room and ballroom. Both the banquet hall and Ministerial lounge have a carpet floor finish which have aged due to frequent usage. This project aims to change the existing carpet as well as change the stone tiles at UNCC entrance and refurbish the area to give the space a new look and give delegates and users a better experience.
