SCOPE OF TENDER

objective of this consultancy is to develop a strategic offer that will inform and guide UNDP’s programming in South Africa, with a focus on addressing the critical  challenges of high inequality, poverty, and unemployment. Furthermore, the strategic offer will aim to strengthen good governance practices, ensuring that UNDP’s interventions are aligned with national priorities and designed to promote inclusive and sustainable development.

The strategic offer r will provide a strategic framework for UNDP to deliver impactful, transformative policy and programmatic support, targeting key specific development issues. It will draw on an in-depth analysis of the socio-economic landscape, considering the structural drivers of inequality and poverty, while also identifying
opportunities for job creation, economic growth, and institutional reform. 

Furthermore,the strategic offer will focus on enhancing governance systems to ensure transparency,
accountability, and responsiveness in public service delivery. By aligning with both the Government of South Africa’s priorities and UNDP’s global development goals, this consultancy will ensure that the programme offer positions UNDP as a key partner in driving positive, transformative change in South Africa.
