Description
The Procurement Unit (PU) of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), on behalf of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), invites qualified suppliers to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of the following goods and services: establishment of a storage area, improvement of the access road, and completion of the fence wall at the NPF K9 Centre, located in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria. The duration of the works should not exceed 4 months. Project Scope The works primarily consist of: • Stripping the topsoil, partial cutting and embankment as needed, and final resurfacing of the access road and container storage area, covering a total surface area of approximately 8,000 m² (1 km road length and 2,500 m² storage area); • Installation of concrete culvert pipes and new structures for various stream crossings, and preparation of concrete footings for container setup; • Construction of a new fence wall with an approximate length of 250 meters, partial repairs to the existing fence, cladding, and painting; • Mobilization and demobilization of general contractor facilities, machinery (e.g., trucks, grader, compactor, digger), and equipment (e.g., brick molding machine, concrete mixer, generator); and • Detailed studies and preparation of as-built drawings. Key Requirements • No Joint Ventures: Bids submitted by joint ventures will not be accepted. We seek to engage with single entities that can demonstrate the capability and resources to deliver the project independently. • Local Representation: Suppliers must have a local representative authorized to act on behalf of the company, available for meetings, coordination, and site-related activities as necessary. • Mandatory Site Visit: Participation in a mandatory site visit will be required for bids to be considered for evaluation. This visit will allow suppliers to gain a thorough understanding of the project scope and site conditions. Details of the site visit, including the date, will be provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Further details will be communicated to interested vendors via the tendering documents. Please note hat this is not an invitation for submission for a bid and/or proposal. This is a Request for Expression of Interest (EoI) to identify qualified vendors interested in participating in the solicitation. Interested vendors must proceed in accordance with the instructions provided in this document. UNOV will examine the EOIs and reserves the right to select the invitees for competitive bidding. Accordingly, an Expression of Interest does not automatically warrant an interested vendor's participation in the competitive bidding exercise. Furthermore, UNOV reserves the right to change or cancel any part of this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. We look forward to your participation and thank you for your interest in this project.
