Description

The World Health Organization Country Office in Ukraine is seeking a service provider that can implement the STEPS Survey (the Stepwise Approach to Non-Communicable Disease Risk Factor Surveillance in Ukraine).

The Survey consists of an in-presence survey to be carried out in several regions in Ukraine. As such, the current Expression of Interest is limited to local (Ukrainian) companies that can carry out fieldwork in person within Ukraine.

The survey is meant to determine the prevalence of biological risk factors and to capture behavioural risk factors and health history related to Non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The service provider will have to conceive and design the survey scope, devise a sampling strategy, conduct field work by interviewing a sample pool of participants, measure and determine behavioural and biological risk factors for NCDs, and provide recommendations for developing national prevention and control policies.

More detail is included in the enclosed Expression of Interest document.

Experience in health-related sampling (epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medical lab) is not mandatory, but it is an asset. The service provider should however have experience in delivering surveys at a national level.

Interested companies are requested to fill out the attached Expression of Interest in its entirety, by the established deadline of 28 June 2024 (18:00 Kyiv Time, Ukraine) by submitting the document to EUROUKRBIDS@who.int
