Provision of Car hire services for the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).

In 2024, the United Nations (UN) Common Services in Kenya transitioned to the Common Back Office (CBO) to align its service provision for enhanced efficiency. As part of this transition, UNON was selected as the service provider for the provision of procurement services for common goods and services to more than fifteen UN agencies in Kenya. . In light of the background provided above, the United Nations Offices at Nairobi (UNON) requests expressions of interest from potential vendors for an upcoming tender process regarding the provision of Car Hire Services at an estimated cost of USD 99,050 for official use within Nairobi city, excursion (upcountry) services and occasionally across mainly to Tanzania and Uganda. The contract resulting from the intended tender process shall be subject to an implementation period of three years with a possibility to extend for two additional periods of 1 year each (3+1+1) subject to the contractors’ performance. The contract shall include requirements for a wide range of licensed roadworthy passenger vehicles PSV(Public service vehicles) and light cargo trucks including: 1) Regular saloon cars 2) Executive saloon cars – e.g Mercedes Benz 3) 4wd station wagon – e.gToyota Prado/Land Cruiser 4) Regular 7 or 9-seater vans 5) Regular 14-seater vans 6) 22/25-seater mini-bus 7) 33/36-seater buses 8) 45-seater buses 9) 1-ton pick-up truck 10) 3-ton lorry The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to the potential bidders who will be identified through this REOI process.
