1.0 Engine 1.1 Engine: 2- Stroke (in-line 2) 1.2 Power: 15 hp 1.3 Displacement: approx. 220 -280 cc 1.4 Full Throttle range: 4500-5500 RPM 1.5 Starting system Manual starting system (MH) 1.6 Steering /control system Tiller steering 1.7 Shift: Forward- Neutral –Reverse 1.8 Fuel: 1 x Carb-premix 50:1 1.9 Max Fuel Usage: 8 Litres/hour @5500 RMP 1.10 Trim & tilt: Manual 1.11 Shaft length: Long shaft to fit with the vessels’ transom height of 52 - 58 cm 1.12 Weight (dry): 35 - 45 KG 1.13 Gear ratio: range 6:1 to 7:1 1.14 Fuel Tank: Standard 20 - 25 Litre with Fuel Line and Primer Bulb 2.0 Spare Parts and Accessories (for each outboard motor) 2.1 Additional fuel tank: 20 - 25 Litre 2.2 Safety: Kill Switch button/cord 2.3 Tool kit: Standard tools 2.4 Maintenance parts kit (including standard items such as grease, impeller, anode, various gaskets, valve seat assy, etc.) 2.5 Outboard motor locks - to secure the outboard motor to the boat and to prevent its theft 2.6 Spare propeller 3-blade – pitch 9” - aluminium - (with accompanying parts needed, such as spacers, nut castle, pin cotter) 2.7 Spare spark plugs: four (4) 2.8 2-stroke outboard motor oil: minimum 2 Litre 3.0 Compliance and Standards 3.1 Quality • Must comply with relevant quality and safety standards in the manufacturing, processing and delivery of products. • Should meet the required specifications. • Outboard motors must be of a proven high-quality brand with at least 20 years of reliable service to remote and challenging marine environments. Packaging and units • Each of the outboard motors should be packed separately, as well as the spare parts, to facilitate distribution to individual recipients. • Should be packed with sturdy wrapping materials. Labelling and Delivery • Packages should be marked with project codes and logo and final destination. • Labelling. • Cater for pre-delivery inspection of machinery products by client to verify right product before delivery. 3.1 Manuals: • Operators/instruction hand book/manual (printed) in English and French languages, one for each unit. • The cost of the handbook/manual should be included in the cost of the equipment. 3.2 Training: • A training (minimum 1- day) should be provided at national level by the distributor on safe operating, handling, adjustment and maintenance of the outboard motors. • The training should be given to groups of recipients in their communities. It is estimated that 5 groups (of around 10-15 persons each) would need training. 3.3 Spare Parts and Accessories: • A list of manufacturer’s recommended spare parts and accessories, sufficient for 1 year of operation must be submitted. The list must be itemised, costed and submitted with your bid. • The main spare parts for the outboard motor brand should be available from service centres/agents at national level in Liberia. 3.4 After sales service: • Supply the name, Tel./Fax number, email and postal addresses of your service/repair agents in Liberia. • State who will be responsible for undertaking the pre-delivery inspection of your equipment upon arrival. The bid price must include: • Cost of delivery and installation. 3.5 Warranty: • A full and clear manufacturer’s warranty statement transferable with the ownership of the equipment (FAO or end-user) must be submitted with your bid detailing the terms and conditions that are being offered. • The minimum requirement is for a twelve months warranty period.
