Description

‘Renewable Energy for Resilient Agri-Food Systems (RERAS), UNDP is planning to build three lift-irrigation schemes (two in Jumla and one in Sindhuli). Before the construction, as mandatory compliance project intends to carry out Social and Environmental Safeguarded Assessment of the proposed schemes and looking for the competent and dedicated firm for conduction of this assessment aligning with the UNDP’s Social & Environmental Safeguard Policy.


The contractor is expected to deliver the following deliverables.

i. Review & Stock Take: Review and stock take of UNDP Social and Environmental Safeguard policy and Initiation Plan document of RERAS Project. 

ii. Template: Review standard template of UNDP to assess SES of lift irrigation systems and recommend changes if necessary to determine the risk category and the necessary targeted assessments (depending on the risk category).

iii. Field Work: Carry out SES assessment of the following 3 lift irrigation systems in Jumla and Sindhuli districts per agreed template:
