Supply and Delivery of Reinforcement and Structural Steel to UN.

1. GPSS in Entebbe, Uganda intends to establish a long term contract for the supply and delivery of reinforncement and structural steel items on an "as and when required basis".The aniticipated contract will be for an initial period of two (2) years with the option to extend for three one-year periods for peacekeeping missions, political missions and any other entities in the UN system. 2. GPSS is encouraging vendors that can meet the dynamic supply chains requirements that are reliable, responsive, agile and cost effective to express interest in participating in the solicitation exercise with a view to provide fast delivery response time to UN . 3. Below are estimated annual requirements while actual requirements will be reflected on each purchase order issued. Items shall comply with the below or equivalent international standards. Lot 1 Reinforcement Items, Grade 500C 1a. Deformed bars. BS4449, with diameters 6mm-20mm and length 12m = 3400 pieces. 1b .Steel reinforcing mesh. BS4483 (A142,A66 BRC, A98 BRC,A142 BRC) with different WxL and pitch sizes = 900 pieces. Lot 2 Structural (Grade S275) and Other items ; plain and / or galvanized items 2a. Angle Iron. BS EN 10025: S275JR, 6mm long with different dimensions (50x50x3;100x100x100,75x75x4,45x45x3,30x30x2.6,20x20x2)mm = 20,398 pieces. 2b. Hollow section (rectangular and square).BS EN 10219-1: S275JOH, 6m long with different dimensions ranging from 20x20x2mm to 100x100x6mm = 24,245 pieces. 2c.Steel Plates. BS EN 485:1-4 for 2400x1200x1.5mm plain, 2400x1200x2.0mm chequered and 2400x1200x4.0mm embossed = 850 pieces 2d. Square tubes. 6mmx12mm L = 1100 pieces 2e. All galvanized steel including angles, hollow section, square tubes , steel plate, Grade S275, BS EN IS0 1461, or ASTM A123 and A143, estimated quantities split from above related items. 2f. Hot Rolled I Beam Section. EN 10025:2004, BS 4-1:2005 & EN 10034:1993 with 250mm depthx250mm widthx14.7mm flange thicknessx 10mm web thickness & 8m length = 1,694 pieces. 2g.Steel Flat Bars. ASTM A29 & ASTM A36, 65mmx5mmx6m =1,000 pieces. 2h. Round tubes. 20mm-120mm and thickness 1.5 to 2.0mm in pieces. 2i.Binding Wires. TS EN 10218 & ASTM A510 with diameters 1.2mm to 3.0 mm = 900 kgs.
