Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) seeks an appropriately qualified vendor to supply ISO 20' and 10’ high-security armoury and cashier containers to the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), Brindisi, Italy as follows:
The armored containers shall fulfill the following standards:
20-foot size, conforming to standard ISO 668, 1CC
10-foot size, conforming to standard ISO 668, 1D
Container ballistic protection must be according to the following standards:
NIJ Standard 0108.01 Ballistic Resistant Protective Materials (National Institute of Justice, 1985): minimum level III
VPAM APR 2009 General basis for ballistic material, construction, and product testing (Association of Test Laboratories for Bullet Resistant Materials and Constructions - VPAM, 2009): minimum level 6
EN 1063:1999 Glass in building - Security glazing - Testing and classification of resistance against bullet attack (European Standards, 1999): minimum level BR6
EN 1522:1998 Windows, doors, shutters, and blinds - Bullet resistance - Requirements and classification (European Standards, 1998): minimum level FB6
The units' design shall incorporate features such as minimal on-site ground preparation, rapid deployment ability, easy transportation, energy efficiency, and a minimum 8-year lifespan. All units should be provided with lifting pockets, corner fittings, and lashing points, conforming to ISO Standards, for handling and securing operations.
Every container must be outfitted with HVAC systems, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, network rack, and the necessary electrical and data cabling infrastructure. Furthermore, Armory units should include weapon storage racks for various types of weapons.
The containers shall be supplied with a certification by a third-party laboratory or testing centre, proofing the required ballistic level protection.

Delivery terms: The delivery terms are Delivery at Place, (UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy (DAP – Incoterms 2010 and Free Carrier (FCA) nearest port of exit.
Complete technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI.
