The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified companies with the required expertise and experience to provide service in reference to a project that aims to address the Business Center Renovation, Interior Design and Furniture Supplies for UNECA Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The firm is expected to provide Business Center Renovation, Interior Design and Furniture Supply. The ECA Souvenirs and Business Center, located on the 1st floor of the United Nations Conference Center in Addis Ababa (UNCC-AA), provides various business Centre services as well as sells selected UN branded items to internal and external clients. However, the demand for UN memorabilia items has increased gradually. Following this, the need to redesign the room and replace the existing furniture with a modern one arises. Hence, UNCC-AA is seeking for experienced vendor to execute the required design and installation services. Scope of work • To design the room’s layout and install accordingly taking into consideration: - remove the existing 7 table & chairs and replace with 3 modern ones (two for laptop/ printing service requirements and the third one for the receptionist); - transparent and lockable shelves (preferably with light) to display UN branded items/ souvenirs for sell ; - change the existing bulbs with powerful watt, - interior decor to make the center more attractive; and - lockable shelves with drawers to store the souvenirs. Hence, it is expected that the winning vendor will work on the layout of the ECA Souvenirs and Business Center (in 3D) including recommending and supplying of suitable table and chairs, display shelves, artworks, lighting, interior décor etc. to make the room stunning. The successful bidder will be contracted to provide the required service which will further be specified under the Bid Document. Interested firms will be invited to the tender by "Request for Proposal" (RFP) at a later stage. The detailed specifications/requirement will be contained in the RFP Bid document. Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNGM.
