Description
1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposals on behalf of UN-HABITAT for the Improving Drainage Systems in Sinjar District, Ninawa Governorate, Iraq. 2.0 The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Works (SoW), Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Technical Specifications, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. The potential contractor shall provide material, equipment, tools, apparatus, accessories, skilled and unskilled manpower, professionals, all other related requirements, and preliminaries to successfully finish the required works as outlined in this scope of work (SoW) and as further described in the Bill of Quantities (BoQs). 3.0 The scope of work consists of: 3.1 Supply and install of Glass Reinforced Polyester Pipes (GRP) with a nominal pressure rating of PN6, SN (Stiffness) 10000, featuring a diameter of 700 mm (with an outer diameter measuring 718 mm) and a pressure resistance of 6 bar, The pipe joints will utilize a single sealing ring spigot-socket joints, all pipes shall be sourced from a single authorized manufacturing facility in compliance with Iraqi standard specifications. 3.2 Supply and Install UPVC pipes designed for sewage applications, featuring specifications of PN6 , 9.2 mm thickness and diameter of 315 mm. all pipes shall be sourced from a single authorized manufacturing facility in compliance with Iraqi standard specifications. 3.3 Prior to each shipment, submit certified test reports that the pipe and fittings for this contract were manufactured and tested in accordance with the ASTM and AWWA Standards or equivalent. 3.4 The awarded contractor shall ensure that all pipes, fitting, materials and components shall be in every respect suitable for storage, installation, use and operation in the conditions of temperature, in Sinjar, Atmospheric temperature in Sinjar varies between -5˚C and 50 ˚C. 4.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI/UN-HABITAT's requirement. 5.0 In addition, the interested companies are requested to complete their registration at Level-1 on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). 6.0 Please note the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline
