Background:

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Bahrain Country Office is managing the United Nations (UN) Common Premises in Hoora, Manama. The UNDP office is replacing the existing X-Ray machine used for security purposes at the entrance of the UN premises with a new one.

 

Specifications: 

  • Supply and on-site delivery of a security X-Ray system to be utilized for baggage and parcel inspection and screening, qty 1, delivery within maximum 4 months period.
  • Please specify the manufacturing year of the machine.
  • Installation of the machine and provision of all related technical services.
  • The machine specification:
    • Overall Dimensions (mm): Should fit in 750 (W), 1600 (L), and 1500 (H).
    • Tunnel Dimensions (mm): Should be within 550 (W), and 350 (H).
    • Conveyor Maximum Load: Not less than 150 kg.
    • Two flat LED monitors with color high resolution display - minimum 21-inch.
    • Two multi-function keyboards/control panels.
    • Remote workstation desk to be included.
    • Two extensions of roller tables with minimum 500 mm each side (entry/exit).
    • Computer unit Installation with good intel processor and minimum 2GB RAM and 500 GB HDD.
    • Option to retain scanned images and store/extract them to an external USB storage device.
    • Power supply should support Bahrain standard voltage and frequency.
    • The quotation should specify year of manufacturing.

·         Occupational health and safety must be guaranteed up to the latest international standards and mandatory regulations. Radiation leakage must be less than 1 μSv/hr at 10 cm from all surfaces of the machine.

  • Post-installation, onsite operational training for UNDP staff members and security personnel who will be managing and operating the machine, to enable them to properly use and understand how the machine functions including the necessary safety instructions and basic troubleshooting.
  • A minimum of 36 months warranty service including preventive maintenance starting from the date of installation.
  • Service provider/Supplier should have the organizational and technical capacity, experience, and professionalism to provide the equipment and conduct routine preventive maintenance service and provide 24/7 emergency repair services during and after the warranty period.


Note: Service provider is expected to trade in the existing Rapiscan 520B X-Ray machine S/N: 60740N37, maintained since Feb 2008 (fully operational condition).
