Consultancy Services to Support Private Sector Engagement – SCALA Global

The overall objective of the Service Provider is to produce strategic guidance and support to 3 SCALA countries across topics related to private sector engagement, including generating an evidence base and data that can be used to develop interventions that would strategically engage the private sector and harness business opportunities. 

 The Service Provider will develop a guidance document on “supporting private sector engagement and investment in climate change adaptation for the agriculture sector” targeted towards private sector actors and provide feedback on a parallel guidance being developed on “opportunity, barrier and risk mapping for private sector engagement” which will be geared towards sensitizing and guiding project developers and public sector actors.

 At country level, the Service Provider will support 3 SCALA countries (Cambodia, Ethiopia and Cote d’Ivoire) with analyzing the enabling environment around engaging the private sector for relevant commodities/value chains, identifying opportunities, barriers, and de-risking solutions to catalyze increased engagement and investment. Countries will already have selected their priority commodity/landscape/value chain prior to the commencement of this assignment.
