The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) invites those vendors representing Honeywell (Honeywell resellers/authorized vendors) to express their interest for supply, installation and commissioning of Enterprise Building Integrator (EBI) and related controllers at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) as well as upgrading of the existing demand control ventilation system of two large conference rooms at the UNCC. The Building Automation Control system (BAC) of the UNCC building ensures technical controls on the air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, back up generator and many other safety issues of the conference facility and peripheral offices in the UNCC building. This BACs system, known by its model as DGC (Honeywell Delta Graphic Central) was installed 16 years ago following the completion of the construction of the UNCC building. During that time, it was a state of the art technology offering vast benefits in terms of efficient control of bottleneck systems in the building including control over the then’s FS-90 model (Honeywell) fire alarm system. Currently, the old fire alarm system is upgraded and the old BACs system is too old to be integrated with the new fire alarm system. In addition, the old BACs system has basic limitations in meeting the growing demand for better energy management especially to make the air conditioning system a better demand based ventilation control system that may contribute to energy saving. The UNECA also intends to upgrade the existing DCV systems at two conference rooms of the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC). Therefore, the UNECA is looking for a qualified supplier that can supply, install and commission DCV at Conference Rooms 1 and 2 and to upgrade the BACs system at the UNCC. Furthermore, upgrading of all the external lighting BACs controllers as well as upgrading of the BACs supervisor computer by implementing the EBI (Enterprise Building Integrator) system as a new BMS (Building Management System) for all the buildings of UNECA. Introducing the EBI system as upgrading of the existing BACs is required in consideration of the growing demand for efficient energy management, effective control on bottleneck systems and safety and security features of building facilities. Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA.
