The United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC) seeks for a qualified insurance carrier to establish a long-term contract for primary third-party liability insurance for its vehicles and heavy vehicles fleet located at UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy, as per Italian Private Insurance Code (“Codice delle Assicurazioni Private”) - D. Lgs. n. 209 del 07/09/2005 Specifically, the Bidder shall provide their best offer for the following requirements: - “Bonus-malus system” for light vehicles (also called “no-claims discount” or “no-claims bonus”). Bidders shall specify initial basic premium assigned to each vehicle: - # 43 Light vehicles - # 3 electric vehicles (2 seats); - # 9 double cab pick/ups; - # 1 sedan light; - # 1 sedan medium; - # 1 single cab pick/up; - # 1 station wagon; - # 27 utility vehicles. - “Fixed price” for medium vehicles, heavy vehicles, trailers, material handling vehicles and transit plates. Bidders shall specify the “fixed premium” assigned to each vehicle: - # 8 Medium vehicles - # 1 minivans (12 seats); - # 4 minivans (9 seats); - # 3 vans/cargos (6 seats). - # 30 Heavy vehicles - # 1 bus (35 seats); - # 1 bus (25 seats); - # 4 panel vans; - # 15 light trucks; - # 1 light tipper truck; - # 3 medium trucks; - # 1 medium crane truck; - # 1 aerial platform truck; - # 1 tractor 4x2; - # 1 tractor 6x4; - # 1 recovery medium truck. - # 3 Trailers - # 1 light cargo trailer; - # 1 cargo/containers semitrailer; - # 1 lowbed semitrailer. - # 26 Material handling vehicles - # 3 light electric forklifts; - # 13 light forklifts; - # 2 medium forklifts; - # 3 heavy forklifts; - # 2 extra-heavy forklifts; - # 1 light rough terrain forklift; - # 1 wheeled skid loader; - # 1 light telescopic forklift. - # 15 transit plates (“targa prova”) for any kind of vehicle regardless of the actual use. Quantities and types of vehicles may be amended on an “as and when required” basis, in accordance with the UNGSC’s operational requirements. Therefore, the UNGSC seeks for a “large vehicles fleet insurance” (“polizza a libro matricola”) that allows the UNGSC to be invoiced for the actual number of vehicles and period of use (days), as per Italian Private Insurance Code (“Codice delle Assicurazioni Private”) - D. Lgs. n. 209 del 07/09/2005. The Insurance Policy shall include the “green card”, which is the international insurance certificate that proves that a vehicle is insured when driving outside Italy. The resulting Contract will be established for an initial period of three (3) years with the UNGSC’s sole option to extend it for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (3+1+1), subject to Contractor’s satisfactory performance and UNGSC’s operational requirements. Subcontracting is allowed to: insurance brokers, insurance agents, independent insurance agents, insurance sub-agents, and any other kind of insurance brokers. Full technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with the tender documents to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: The tender documents will be sent via e-tendering platform ONLY to the email address(-es) registered in companies’ UNGM account.
