New clarification added: "The batteries for the UPS will be housed on the ground floor, as shown in the drawings attached separately to the RFP provided for Informational Purposes Only."The term "batteries for the UPS" leads us to believe that the UPS and its batteries are not in the same room (in that case, where would the UPS be then?). please note long lengths of heavy gauge DC cables are additional unecessary cost.question: are the UPS and its batteries in the same room or seperate rooms? if seperate where is the UPS to be located.according to the drawings the UPS room is NOT at all vertically below the Server Room. It is not even on the floor that's directly below the server room but 2 floors below (in the Ground Floor) and some 20 meters away in the second side of the building. That adds a lot the lengths of the power cablesquestion: please confirm that UPS room is as per the drawings on the second side of the building.ANSWERThe UPS should be located in close proximity to the batteries in the same room. This will be to reduce the lengths of DC cables. The correction is noted. The UPS room location is NOT below the Server Room. This is an error from a previous version. The correct location is Room 103. See drawings "Proposed Location for UPS Room - Ground Floor Main Building" and "Proposed ground floor plan- Layout1".
