Technical Assistance to enhance Vanuatu's market for energy efficient appliances.

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for provision of technical assistance for enhancing Vanuatu's market for energy efficient appliances. United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on behalf of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) requires the services of an institution to deliver the technical assistance. The overall objective of this technical assistance is to enhance Vanuatu's market for energy efficient appliances. Some of the expected outcome, outputs and activities are; • Development of implementation planning and communication documents • Comprehensive market and policy analysis for higher efficiency refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and lighting products • Detailed market assessment for refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and lighting Products • Assess and upgrade the existing Vanuatu Electronic Single Window (VeSW) registration system and develop a MV&E plan • Development of financing mechanisms for the incentivization towards the purchase of energy efficient appliances • Design of selected financial mechanism(s) and related implementation plan.
