Description
UNSOS has a requirement for the provision of Hotel Accommodation and Ground Transportation Services in Nairobi, Kenya for AMISOM’s Individual Police Officers (IPOs) and Staff Officers on deployment, rotation, repatriation or traveling on medical grounds, as and when required. The average personnel in question range to approximately 600 per year, albeit this may increase or decrease depending on operational exigencies. On average, UNSOS hosts 30-40 people per month with varied lengths of stay. However, these figures may ocassionally increase up to 50 people at one instance. The anticipated length of stay per guest and per instance is approximately two nights on either Half Board or Full Board basis, albeit this is subject to change based on various circumstances as pertains to individual travel needs such as, but not limited to guests staying on medical grounds, in which case the length of stay could be prolonged significantly. The accomodation will be booked in self-contained single occupancy rooms. Ground transportation services will be limited to airport transfers to/from the airport and travel within Nairobi to authorized destinations on an ‘as and when required’ basis. Authorized destinations include hospitals for clients traveling on medical grounds, banking premises and the African Union office. UNSOS reserves the right to split the contract award to multiple service providers as it may deem necessary, to suit its operations and requirements. The successful contractor(s) will enter into a three (3) year contract with options of extension for an additional two (2) years of one plus one each (3+1+1), at the option of UNSOS. The Contract is projected to commence in February 2022. Detailed requirements, specifications and evaluation criteria will be provided in the tender document to be issued at a later date.
