The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified companies with the required expertise and experience in concrete work for the provision of construction services to be delivered to the Facilities and Commercial Activities Service (FCAS) at the UN Headquarters Campus in New York City, on a single appointment, in two (2) consecutive years starting on or around 1 June 2021. I. SCOPE OF WORKS: The contractor shall provide construction services for the rehabilitation of two (2) exterior egress ramps (approximately 4,000 square feet each) from the General Assembly Building. The work will include, but not be limited to: 1. Protection of site. 2. Demolition and safe disposal of ramps and balcony topping slab. 3. Demolition and safe disposalof existing waterproofing membrane and related elements. 4. Demolition and safe disposal of existing railing. 5. Preparation of existing structural concrete slab to receive new waterproofing: scraping, cleaning and priming surface. Repair concrete slab if required. 6. Installation of lightweight filling material, new waterproofing membrane & protection. 7. Installation of new concrete topping slab. 8. Replacement of concrete coping stones and panels. 9. Installation of new railing and lighting. 10. Replacement of drainage. 11. Miscellaneous work. II. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Companies interested in providing the above construction services are invited to submit an EOI, along with the following information: 1. Company details including company name and structure, address, contact person, telephone/fax numbers and contact email address (must be entered on the Vendor Response Form provided). 2. A general statement on the main business activity of your company including capabilities and any specializations or areas of expertise. Please note that this is not an invitation for submission of proposals. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued and if invited to the solicitation by UNPD. Evaluation of companies' capabilities and suitability to carry out the construction services will take place following the later submission of Technical and Financial proposals in response to the RFP. III. RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST: 1. Interested firms must complete the following Vendor Response Form and return it to the attention of the officer named above at julia.schellhaas@un.org no later than 15 March 2021. 2. Please email ONLY the Vendor Response Form, duly completed in all respects and signed. The UN reserves the right to reject forms that are incomplete, or are received after the stated deadline. 3. To be eligible for eventual contract award consideration, bidders must be registered at UNGM Level 2. Vendors are encouraged to commence the registration process as early as possible via www.ungm.org. 4. Please note that no further details of the planned solicitation can be made available to the vendors prior to issuance of the solicitation documents, and that UNPD is not in a position to issue confirmation of receipt of EOIs (see 'EOI Instructions' section 2). 5. The UN reserves the right to issue the solicitation documents only to those prospective vendors that respond to the EOI, and are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission.
