Description of Requirements (Services):
The United Nations requires a copyrights licensing service provider to provide copyright licensing services to academic institutions, publishers and individuals, on its behalf. The provider’s services will grant authorizations to users worldwide to reproduce portions of United Nations Secretariat publications.
The provider republication service would permit commercial publishers, freelancers, independent authors, and creators (Licensees) to efficiently license republication rights from the United Nations.
The vendor shall provide licenses based on three categories: Pay-Per-Use, Annual and Republication Pay per Use Licenses :
a.Pay-per-use Licenses
These licences would provide rights and licensing options for publishers, corporations and academic institutions to use and share content on a one-time use basis. The Pay-Per-use licences will be catered to businesses and Academic Institutions.
b.Annual (or Repertory) Licences
The Annual Copyright Licenses would provide the comprehensive coverage required by colleges and universities to share information. This Annual Licenses would allow faculty, researchers and other staff members to collaborate freely, while respecting the intellectual property.
These licenses will allow businesses to give employees freedom to share content across organizations whilst respecting copyrights.
c.Republication Pay-Per-Use Licenses
Republication Pay-per-Use licenses allows users to republish third-party content info new works or expand rights to republish third-party content in backlist titles. Such services helps users such as commercial publishers, freelancers, independent authors and creators to more easily and efficiently license republication rights.
1. The Contractor should have at least 10 years of experience in providing Copyright Licensing Services.
2. Contractor will have to provide 3 proposals corresponding to 3 sample assignments (in the Request for Proposal).
3. Contractor will have to provide a minimum of 3 satisfactory references from clients.
