I.Project information

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Khartoum, Sudan seeks Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from contractors or joint ventures able to conduct construction activities in Kauda (South Kordofan N 11.0501°, E 30.5594°) and Yabus (Blue Nile State, N 9.9400°, E 34.1689°).  Established companies with verifiable experience in or near these locations are encouraged to complete the attached supplier registration form.  

It is anticipated that in 2020-2021 the Procurement Unit of UNWFP Sudan will issue tenders for civil works, electrical wiring, water reticulation, and road rehabilitation, as well as construction of brick masonry housing and offices, a low water crossing, and a suspension cable footbridge in these areas.  Eligible contractors or joint ventures who meet the prequalification criteria outlined in this Request for Expressions of Interest will be registered with the WFP Sudan Country Office vendor roster and may be invited to participate in upcoming tenders.

II.Special Conditions

• This Request does not contain a contractual offer of any kind. Any application submitted will be regarded solely as an intention to register and participate in WFP procurements, and not as a contractual commitment of any kind on the part of WFP.
• Terms of Reference, Specifications, Drawings, Bills of Quantities, and related information specific to each project will be sent to qualified bidders in upcoming Requests for Proposals for each project.
