Description of Requirements:

 

The Secretariat of the United Nations Office at Geneva, hereinafter referred to as UNOG, plans to rent one (1) Digital Networkable Color and Black&White Copier/Printer/Scanner for the UNOG Library.

 

The Library color copier/printer/scanner will be used to produce high quantities of materials (paper weight should be between 60 and 300g/m2) and posters (sheet size 323mmX483mm ) for cultural events, library brochures, flyers and training material. Processing includes reproduction of photos of artwork, manuscripts, etc., requiring true-to-life colors and professional finish. Also a lot of reproduction is now done on the basis of scanned copies hence the advantage of having scanning functionalities.

 

The Library color copier/printer will be networked and used by various staff members. The following criteria should be taken into consideration: usefulness, reliability and  minimum maintenance requirements.

 

Requirements:

- Yearly production of B&W clicks: 68400 clicks

- Yearly production of Color clicks: 36000 clicks

- Toner and spare parts included.

- Equipment and software support: Intervention 4 hours after first call-up. Includes equipment and software upgrades.

- Installation, Delivery, Training included. The contractor must be prepared to train UNOG key operators in both French and English.

- Contract length: Initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a additional 2 years, 1 year at a time.

 

Technical Requirements of the machine:

- Supported paperweights: between 60 and 300g/m2

- Duplex printing: up to 220g/m2 (automatic function for all trays) and up to 300g/m2 (manual function).

- Resolution: Copy/Print: 2400 x 2400ppp

- Speed A4 plain paper: minimum of 50 pages per minute for Color and minimum of 65 pages per minute for Black and white

- Maximum sheet size: SRA3

- Paper tray capacity: Minimum of 3000 sheets  (A4) + high capacity tray for special jobs, i.e. overnight,etc.

- Scanning resolution: 600 x 600 dpi

- Networking: Capability to enable networking compatible with UNOG Network operating systems (XP, Windows 7) (minimum 80Gb hard disk memory)

- Finishing standard: Minimum 1500 sheet stacker tray

Stapling and hole-punching capabilities

- Print controller: Print engine with EFI controller for  minimum 80Gb hard disk capacity

- Security kit included
